Today in Project Wonder, I worked on my cannon made out of junk materials. My goal is to make interesting things out of junk materials that others will not use. My cannon was made of a plastic jar, cardboard, 4 rubber bands, string, and 4 paper clips. It works by pulling back the string from the bottom, the cardboard comes back and the rubber bands build up energy. When the string is released, the cardboard flies forward launching the object. I learned many things from it. I learned a new use of materials that could help me with later projects. I also learned from my fails when the string kept breaking, I used different materials and learned the stronger and weaker materials that I could use. Finally, When I test it, I could learn more about air resistance.
